This is a fleeting thought, but after reading Dr. Wayne Dyer's saying "Good Morning, This is God. I will be handling all of your problems today. I will not need your help, so have a miraculous day."
I began to see all of the things that I do not need to take care/handle today. And then I started to think about the things that people foist on me and I want to put them outside my aura. I felt like I was cleaning my mind of commitments that other people have made for me.
Be a good girl, clean your room, get a college degree, get married, raise a family, etc.
your thoughts?

Re: Have you ever cleaned out your mind?
Tue, December 12, 2006 - 12:56 AMchogyam trungpa's cutting through spiritual materialism is good, even if it is just reading the title..it made me laugh when i first saw it.
we as a species, collect things that are bright and shiny, as well as things that have distinct tastes..going where desire takes us,
and it is true we do inherit others baggage. love making, birth (particularly for women since they experience it more directly) and death
as well as rituals of marriage and feality (better for same sex couples) are the events of life where conciousness is quickened. We have our own and we inherit our parents, our brothers and sisters, our aunts and uncles, and grandparents. plus all the stuff other's plunk on us
like the daily news, and the latest bible reading from the pastor. Remember deep down you are a clean page and that you can edit the book of you. Thus you can write forward and delete out, that after giving thanks to the energy there in for its serving you, parts of yourself that no longer serve..that belonged to someone else. once it is let go, then sudden you are releashed and refreshed. remember you exist always in the present moment. well being surrounds you..just percieve it..it is already so.

Re: Have you ever cleaned out your mind?
Mon, January 15, 2007 - 4:52 PMthank you for both of your post. I am looking at the link now and am wanting to track down that book you mentioned.
I felt a really big release after the burning bowl ceremony at my local Unity church. As they said, once you lay it down, don't pick it back up.
Shaking my head, I will learn this lession.... Thanks!
